CBS will make an important contribution to SANDERA’s capabilities in the field of European science and technology policy and ERA dynamics. Susana Borrás has particular expertise in areas of the governance of science, technology and innovation, with special focus on the design and rationales of innovation policy, the theories and governance patterns of innovation systems, the European research area, and the legitimacy and democratic aspects of the governance of innovation, at the EU, national and regional levels and is the author of several relevant books including The Innovation Policy of the EU (2003). She has extensive experience in international research projects, as research leader and as partner.
